“It was easy. As soon as I plugged it into the new ELD, it registered it right away.” — Will Kling, AKA Lil Dawg.
The KeepTruckin Smart Dashcam is easy by design. It’s a simple, plug-and-play video solution for fleets of every size.
Recently, Lil Dawg—a professional truck driver and a popular YouTube influencer unboxed and reviewed our Smart Dashcam.

Simple plug-and-play installation
We design our products with a single focus: to make life easier for truck drivers. And the Smart Dashcam is no exception.
As you also see in the video, installing the KeepTruckin Dashcam is a simple plug-n-play process which takes only a couple of minutes.
Just plug the dashcam into your ELD unit via the USB port. The ELD will have two green lights, which indicates that you are now connected. It’s that simple.
For a more detailed walkthrough on how to set up the KeepTruckin Smart Dashcam, watch the following video.
What if you have an older ELD?
As you could see in the video posted by Lil Dawg, the KeepTruckin Dashcam isn’t compatible with the older electronic logging device.
Nothing to worry about, though.
If you have an older ELD, just let us know, and we will send you the compatible Cellular ELD (LBB3ca) free of cost.
Why you should install the Smart Dashcam
The KeepTruckin Smart Dashcam enables fleet managers to view things from the driver’s perspective. This not only helps improve fleet safety, but it also contributes to developing more effective driver coaching programs, lower driver turnover rates, driver exoneration, lower liabilities, and smarter business decisions.
The Smart Dashcam seamlessly integrates with the KeepTruckin ELD. Therefore, whenever the ELD detects a critical safety event—such as hard acceleration, hard cornering, and hard braking—the Dashcam records 10 seconds of HD videos before and after the event and sends it to the KeepTruckin Dashboard for review.
You can use that video to decide whether you should exonerate drivers when they aren’t at fault or do the right thing when they are. Despite passenger vehicles being at fault in 85% of truck-passenger accidents, commercial drivers are more likely to be blamed when cases are litigated. However, with no clear evidence, fleets often have no option but to settle.
Video evidence changes that.
You can also incorporate these videos recorded by the Smart Dashcam in the driver coaching programs to offer personalized training and more practical tips to at-risk drivers.
